Oregon Ducks picked at media day to win Pac-12

I mean, it sure as hell isn’t going to be the Colorado Buffaloes.

The Oregon Ducks were voted to be the expected champions of the Pac-12 at the conference’s media day event on Friday. The vote shouldn’t surprise anyone; even with the loss of Chip Kelly the Ducks are still stocked with the most offensive talent of any program in the nation (just watch as Marcus Mariota statistically blows Johnny Manziel out of the water this year. It’ll happen).

Stanford was the second most popular pick. The Cardinal received 11 votes predicting they’d win the Pac-12 North and eight votes predicting they’d win the conference championship game (the Ducks received 15 votes and 14 votes in those categories, respectively).

Here’s a complete breakdown of the results, via GoDucks.com (the first-place votes are in parentheses):

NORTH DIVISION
1.   Oregon (15)…………… 145
2.   Stanford (11)…………. 139
3.   Oregon State…………… 95
4.   Washington…………….. 84
5.   California………………… 47
6.   Washington State……… 33

SOUTH DIVISION
1.   UCLA (12)…………….. 135
2.   Arizona State (10)…… 130
3.   USC (4)………………… 117
4.   Arizona ………………….. 76
5.   Utah……………………… 60
6.   Colorado…………………. 28

PAC-12 TITLE GAME CHAMPION: Oregon (14 votes)
Others receiving votes: Stanford (8), UCLA (3)

How do you feel about this, Pac-12 fans? Anyone think a team from the South Division can knock off the Ducks or the Cardinal? Sound off in the comments below, but just make sure not to go full-contact.
