The son of former Auburn Tigers head coach Tommy Tuberville, Tucker Tuberville, will be walking on as a quarterback for the team this season. The university announced the news on their official website and the information was then relayed by al.com.

Before returning to his father’s old stomping grounds, Tucker walked-on as a quarterback at Texas Tech. When his father left for the Cincinnati Bearcats, Tucker transferred up North in the spring. However, the decision has now been made to make the move to Auburn.

Tucker Tuberville was a top 150 player in the state of Texas, but it is unlikely that he will ever find a role in the team’s offense.

As head coach at Auburn, Tommy Tuberville racked up an 85-40 record in 10 seasons. The Tigers had a 5-3 record in bowl games under Tuberville’s guidance, including a 14-0 season in 2004.
