Samuel Deduno threw 7 scoreless innings against the Seattle Mariners to pick up the win, as the Twins shut out the Mariners.

It was a very good outing by the 30 year old right hander. Deduno doesn’t strike out many batters but his 3.18 ERA has been pretty good this season.

Justin Morneau launched his 8th home run of the season, going 2-4 adding a double, which is his 25th double on the season. He hasn’t hit for much power this season, but could be a target for teams looking to add to their lineup before the trade deadline.

Brad Miller, short stop for the Seattle Mariners went 2-4, as the Mariners only managed to get 1 extra base hit, which was a Kendrys Morales double. Miller singled twice and is now batting .240/.318/.406 in his first 25 games in his major league career.

Aaron Harrang picked up the loss as he gave up just 1 run in 5 innings. Harang has been dominant in his last 2 starts. He only gave up 3 hits against the Twins, striking out 5 batters in the loss. His next start will come against the Baltimore Orioles in Baltimore.
