It seems the crazier your uniform, the more publicity you get. The University of Oregon knows this very well and it appears the University of South Carolina is quietly following in their footsteps.

With a handful of uniform combinations already in use, the Gamecock’s equipment Twitter page tweeted out a few pictures of helmets the team hopefully plans to wear this season.

It was suggested that while the Gamecock’s will wear their traditional white helmet for most games, they might spice it up a bit by paying homage to the past with a former logo. In addition, they’re also going to, as they put it, bust out the “helmet swag” and potentially wear a complete reflective chrome lid this year, which they posted on their feed.

There was no specific date mentioned as to when the team will wear the helmet or even if they will, though, it’s unlikely they’d have the helmet in the storage room if they weren’t planning to wear them at some point this year.

Should be fun for the opposition, who will be able to see their impending demise coming towards them before the point of impact.

It was stated they won’t be wearing the chrome this year. They will be wearing traditional white. I believe the quote “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” was used.
