Former number one overall pick Greg Oden is nearing his NBA comeback and according to reports, he’s looking impressive as ever.

Per ESPN’s Marc Stein:

Word from multiple witnesses of Greg Oden’s workouts this week: He looks quite lean & is moving quite well. No wonder so many teams in hunt

Oden reportedly is close to deciding on a team, a decision that could come as early as this week.

A handful of franchises have expressed interest in the former Ohio State star, including the Miami Heat. However, recently Oden’s agent suggested that Oden may prefer to play for a ‘rebuilding’/small market team to avoid any pressure as he attempts to make his comeback.

Because of that multiple teams currently rebuilding like the New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings have expressed interest in Oden, who recently worked out for both squads.

We haven’t had much indication of what way Oden is leaning, though, it’s hard to envision him not picking the Heat as they not only provide him with winning but also significant playing time.
