The Minnesota Twins traveled to SafeCo to take on the Seattle Mariners and the seventh inning stretch was sponsored by Washington’s Lottery, ironically it began to rain money. While the Seattle area is accustomed to rain, this was rain of a different type. It was a publicity stunt by a website.

The Twins broadcast seems flabbergasted by the promotion. The bills had a band that said “5Ktailgate.com.” Apparently about $6,000 in singles were dropped but that money maybe should have gone to a server, which had trouble supporting the increase in traffic.
