Los Angeles Dodgers front runners to sign Brian Wilson

As the Major League Baseball trade deadline approaches, former San Francisco Giants closer Brian Wilson is getting a lot of attention. Yesterday, ESPN’s Jim Bowden listed the San Francisco Giants, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Los Angeles Dodgers as the front runners for Brian Wilson’s services.

Now Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY lists only the Los Angeles Dodgers as the favorites to sign the pitcher.

This is a very unstable situation. Yesterday, before Jim Bowden’s tweet, Nightengale tweeted out a completely different list of ‘front runners’ for Wilson: the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Which was discredited less than an hour later by John Gambadoro, a sports radio talk show host on Sports 620 am KTAR in Phoenix.
