Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin just got on Twitter. He wants you to know you can expect nothing from his feed except straight fire.

Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan won’t follow suit. In fact, his reluctance to embrace technology says he hates it. He revealed that he just learned how to Twitter and doesn’t even have an e-mail account.

“First of all, I’ve never been on Twitter,” Shanahan said, via Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post. “I don’t even have e-mail. I just learned to text about two years ago, so that’s where I’m at. No, seriously, I don’t have an e-mail. I do text, and I’m not very good at that. I’m NOT getting into the Twitter.”

But he has to know what Twitter is, or at least seen a tweet.

“No. I never have read a Twitter account.”

Well someone in the Redskins organization could run a twitter account for the coach if they felt the need for him to connect with his fans. It is hard to believe that a coach isn’t monitoring players tweets or getting updates about them at least.
