MLB trade rumors 2013: Chicago White Sox lower asking price for Jake Peavy

The Major League Baseball trade deadline is just around the corner and teams are making a final push to land their top targets. One of the players generating plenty of attention is Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Jake Peavy.

While the interest in Peavy is there from multiple teams around the league, it looks like the White Sox are growing eager to rid themselves of the pitcher and as a result they are lowering their asking price.

Whatever team lands Peavy will be getting a great addition to their starting rotation, but there is one team that has the most ammunition to get a deal done — the Boston Red Sox.
