With the Major League Baseball trade deadline rapidly approaching, the San Francisco Giants phone has been ringing off the hook. Multiple teams have been calling about right fielder Hunter Pence, who is set to hit free agency next year, and the New York Yankees and Cincinnati Reds have been among the latest to inquire. The report comes from Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.
Pence would fill both teams need of adding a bat to the line up, but there is plenty of competition out there to land the outfielder.
The Texas Rangers and Pittsburgh Pirates are also among the teams interested.
It will be interesting to see if a move will be made before tomorrow’s deadline, but there is a good chance that Pence stays with the Giants despite his high price tag.
