The Texas Rangers have been linked to just about anybody and everybody on the trade block as they try to build for another postseason run.
Concerned over Lance Berkman‘s inability to get healthy and Nelson Cruz‘s potential pending suspension, the Rangers have informed teams that just about anybody (sans a select few) are available for trade and that includes shortstop Elvis Andrus, according to Fox Sports’ Jon Morosi:
Rangers are willing to listen on “anyone,” sources tell
@Ken_Rosenthal and me. That includes Elvis Andrus. @FOXSports
Morosi, despite being a national scribe does at times have some pretty outlandish rumors so this might need to be taken with a grain of salt but Andrus has no doubt been one of the most disappointing players in Major League Baseball this season. Add in the fact that the Rangers have Jurickson Profar waiting in the wings and it makes some sense Andrus could be dangled if it netted the Rangers the big bat they’re looking for.
