EA Sports Announces Madden All 25 Defensive Ends

The next set of roster players for the playable “All-25″ team in this year’s iteration of Madden NFL has been announced this morning. Tuesday saw the backfield get announced, and today saw the first players on the team defense get revealed by EA Sports.

Chicago Bears defensive end Julius Peppers and San Diego Chargers DE Dwight Freeney get the nod as the DEs for the playable team in this year’s 25th anniversary of the Madden NFL series.

Peppers is a 97 overall, and brings over his attributes from Madden 2006 when he was a member of the Carolina Panthers. Freeney, a long-time member of the Colts, brings over his attributes from Madden 2007 where he was a 99 overall.

The decision to add players that are currently on NFL teams makes this All Time team somewhat of a joke. It reduces the work needed by EA to get former players to agree to have their likenesses in the game due to the amount of money it would likely cost the company.

It begs the question: What will the rest of this all-star team look like.
