With the Major League Baseball trade deadline closing in, the Baltimore Orioles are looking to make a final push for a trade with the Minnesota Twins for first baseman Justin Morneau. There is belief that Morneau could be one of the biggest names moved at the deadline, so it could be a very good move for the Orioles as they look to add some more bats to their line up.

From Jim Bowden of ESPN and MLB Network Radio on Sirius XM radio:

If the Orioles would be able to reel in Morneau, he would be an instant upgrade in the designated hitter role and provide the team with some added pop that they are looking for. He may not be the same player that he used to be, but he is more than capable of helping the team improve.
