Arkansas to celebrate 75th anniversary of Razorbacks Stadium


The 2013 college football season will mark a special time for the Arkansas Razorbacks as they celebrate their 75th anniversary of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The university announced they will have a season-long celebration to mark the 75-year anniversary for the stadium that opened in 1938 with a capacity of 13,500.

After countless renovations to the venue, the Razorbacks currently play in from of a crowd that has a capacity of 72,000.

Athletic director Jeff Long also announced the launch of the website ArkansasRazorbacks.com/75years which allows fans to look at photos of the stadium throughout the years and even gives fans of the team a chance to win some special memorabilia.

Among the pieces of Razorbacks history that can be won are pairs of seats that were used at the stadium between 1985 and 2011. Fans that are interested can enter to win once every week on the newly launched site leading up to the start of the season.
