Earlier today it was reported that the Memphis Grizzlies were chasing a ‘mystery’ free agent which lead to rumors of apparent interest in forward Antawn Jamison.
BREAKING: I can reveal that Antawn Jamison is not the Grizzlies alleged “mystery free agent.”
Jamison, who played for the Los Angeles Lakers this past season was in talks to join the Los Angeles Clippers but they have filled out their roster leaving the long time NBA veteran without a home.
Multiple teams are interested in the former North Carolina star, but the Memphis Grizzlies do not appear to be one of them.
As for the ‘mystery’ free agent, it’s likely to be either Greg Oden or point guard Bobby Brown, though there was some confirmed interest in Brown by Memphis sources earlier today.
Oden has said he will decide on his new team this Friday, so we shouldn’t have very long to wait to see if Oden was the mystery free agent the Grizzlies were attempting to bring in.
