Louis Amundson drawing interest from Dallas Mavericks, Miami Heat, New York Knicks

Free agent forward Louis Amundson hasn’t ever been much more than a journeyman during his seven year NBA career, but that hasn’t stopped a handful of teams from showing interest in the former UNLV product.

According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, multiple teams have informed Amundson’s agent they’d like to retain his services:

Hearing that Heat, Kings and Mavs (all Oden finalists) as well as Hawks, Knicks and Pacers have registered level of interest in Amundson

The California native shouldn’t struggle to find a team given his hard work ethic, but he may struggle to see floor time with whomever he chooses. Amundson has never averaged more than 15 minutes per game, despite the heightened interest in him.

Amundson, who famously rode his bike to games during his time in Phoenix split last season between the Minnesota Timberwolves, Chicago Bulls and New Orleans Hornets.

Amundson will be signing with his ninth team in seven years.
