Yesterday it was reported that the Memphis Grizzlies were interested in point guard Bobby Brown, who is currently scheduled to play in China. Brown has an out-clause in his Chinese contract that will allow him to return to the NBA prior to August 15th, but Brown may be nothing more than a backup plan to Beno Udrih, who the Memphis Grizzlies are reportedly interested in.
Per Ronald Tillery:
While the Grizzlies have both Mike Conley and Jerryd Bayless on the roster, it’s possible Udrih could still see 20+ minutes a game in Memphis which would probably be similar to what the New York Knicks could offer.
Earlier today, Udrih’s agent hinted that there were five teams expressing interest in the point guard, two of which obviously include both Memphis and New York.
Udrih split last season between the Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic.
