Ken Davidoff of the New York Post, sent out a tweet that those players connected to the Biogenesis scandal face a 6 p.m. ET deadline on Sunday to settle their cases with Major League Baseball.
Once that deadline passes, MLB will make two announcements on Monday. In their first announcement, it will be the players who have accepted their suspensions for being involved with this scandal.
The other announcement will involve the names of those players who refused to accept a deal and could challenge the decisioin before an arbitrator.
New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez could be facing a life time ban from sports, but could be prepared to challenge through arbitration. There are reportedly over 20 names involved with this scandal and could have more involved.
Notable names include of course, Alex Rodriguez, Ryan Braun, Jhonny Peralta, Everth Cabrera, Melky Cabrera and Nelson Cruz. Next week should be an interesting week in the league, let alone the world of sports.
Ryan Braun has already been suspended for the remainder of the season without pay.
The Biogenesis guys, including A-Rod, have been given a deadline of 6 p.m. Eastern Time Sunday to settle their cases. Announcements Monday.
