We have all been patiently waiting to see when New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez would finally be handed down his suspension from Major League Baseball for the Biogenesis scandal and it looks like that time will finally come on Monday.
While Rodriguez is going to avoid a lifetime ban from the sport, the suspension is still going to be very lengthy and likely put an end to his time as a professional player.
The news comes from a source who spoke with ESPN’s Outside the Lines:
BREAKING: Alex Rodriguez will be suspended Monday, likely through end of ’14 season, sources have told Outside the Lines.

Rodriguez would be 40 years old whenever he is eligible to return to the field.
Turn out the lights, the party is over.
Along with Rodriguez, a dozen other MLB players will learn their punishment for their involvement with the Miami steroid clinic on Monday.
It will be interesting to see how all of the suspensions line up, so keep your eyes peeled to the news as Monday rapidly approaches.
