Arizona Cardinals Ryan Williams now on crutches

According to Kent Somers on Twitter, Arizona Cardinals running back Ryan Williams underwent further treatment on his right knee and is now on crutches.
Coach Bruce Arians said that Williams could return to the team next week, but it’s sounding like he could miss the pre-season opener on Friday against the Green Bay Packers.
Which could be a problem. considering that the Cardinals already have their attention on Rashard Mendenhall, who could also miss Fridays game in Green Bay. Williams recently described the injury as an irritation of the fatty pad under the patellar tendon.
I’m wondering if he will completely recover from his 2011 injury, where he ruptured his patellar tendon.
With Mendenhall and Williams having knee problems of their own, it leaves Stepfan Taylor and Andre Ellington fighting for carries next week during practice. Both Taylor and Ellington will probably see majority of the carries for the Cardinals on Friday, giving Williams and Mendenhall some more time off to recover.
I doubt Williams gets rushed, worst case scenario, I say he misses two pre-season games.
