Yasiel Puig listed as day-to-day after amazing catch (video)

Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig made some impressive catches today, but he injured his left wrist during diving grab in the seventh inning that robbed Chicago Cubs shortstop Starlin Castro of a base hit. According to Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times, Puig suffered a wrist contusion and is listed as day-to-day.

Puig finished the inning after the remarkable grab, but he had to be replaced by Skip Schumaker in the eighth due to the pain. (Cue the inane hand-wringing conversations about Puig’s aggressive style of play in three…two…one…)

Let’s hope Puig is back in the lineup ASAP. Baseball is just a lot more fun when he’s around.
