The Detroit Pistons have agreed to a deal with the 56th pick of the 2013 NBA Draft, Peyton Siva. During the Summer League in Orlando, the team saw some of the same characteristics in Siva that helped him bring a championship to the Louisville Cardinals.
During his senior season with the Cardinals, he average 10.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 5.7 assists. However, it is unclear how much time he will see with Detroit. The Pistons already have Brandon Jennings, Chauncey Billups,Will Bynum, and Rodney Stuckey, which will most likely limit the amount of minutes Siva will get on the court. But it seems as though Detroit will give him a chance, because he has impressed them thus far.
There have been more reports that the team is considering asking the point guard to play a season overseas before playing in the NBA, although there still remains to be a spot open on the roster right now.
Full details of the contract have not yet been released.
