UFC 163 turned out to be a bad night for fighters looking to emerge from the event healthy. Both main event participants were injured during their fight — featherweight champion Jose Aldo (broken foot) and challenger “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung (dislocated shoulder) — but there was also an undercard fighter that will be receiving a lengthy medical suspension.

Flyweight Ian McCall earned the first win of his UFC career and Fight of the Night honors for his performance, but he broke his hand early in the first round and it didn’t stop him from going on to earn the decision victory.

McCall shared an image of his broken hand on the MMA Underground:

This goes to show his toughness and just how much he was willing to leave in the octagon in order to walk away with the win.

After triumphing over some personal issues outside of the cage and now keeping his job in the UFC, things are looking up for “Uncle Creepy” as he prepares for a run at the UFC’s 125-pound title.
