LeBron James of Miami Heat says he is tired of being in the spotlight

Miami Heat superstar LeBron James has had enough of the spotlight, at least, that’s what he posted to his Facebook account last night:

Man it’s hard to go out and have a good time these days! It’s cool though, it’s part of my life. Wouldn’t change anything(just saying). Been in the spotlight since I was 15. Sometimes u just wanna STOP!! But I refuse cause I have a commitment to the youth to inspire them!! That will keep me pushing forward and focused alone.

In fairness to LeBron, he does have a point. This is a guy who can’t take a morning jog in his neighborhood. This is a guy who can’t go rent a movie at a RedBox. This is a guy who can’t go to dinner with his family, outside of making it somewhat of a spectacle. Things we take for granted, LeBron isn’t able to do. It’s almost as if he’s a caged animal, in the most odd sense.

Granted, he certainly has MANY perks that the vast majority of us don’t – though I’m sure he wouldn’t argue that.

But step into James’ shoes for a minute. Could you handle that lifestyle?
