Michael Vick will start this week, Nick Foles will start next week

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles have one of the more captivating quarterback competitions going on in training camp. The Eagles haven’t given much indication on who has the lead in the competition. The Eagles announced that Michael Vick will start in this week’s preseason match up against the New England Patriots.

While that seems to be a telling bit of information, apparently Nick Foles will start next weeks game in an effort to give both opportunities with the first team.

NFL Insider Jay Glazer said that it looks obvious that Michael Vick will be the starter for the Eagles.

Which apparently was an unpopular opinion.

Chip Kelly has been known for a fast paced offense when he was at Oregon. Michael Vick seems like the logical fit over Nick Foles anyways, but they’re committed to this being, or giving the impression that it is a quarterback competition.
