Oakland Raiders’ David Ausberry, Sio Moore earning starting jobs
By David Miniel
According to CSN Bay Area, they are reporting that tight end David Ausberry is a front runner to start at his position.
Richard Gordon is currently listed as the No. 1 tight end for the first team offense, but he’s a sluggish full back type. Rookie Mychal Rivera is being seen as a legitimate contender for the regular season playing time.
Entering his third year in the NFL, Ausberry only 106 receiving yards on 9 receptions with no touchdowns. He could either No. 1 or No. 2, either way, this team needs to have their tight ends step it up big time this season, especially Ausberry. He needs to improve these numbers.
Now when it comes to Raiders third round linebacker Sio Moore, according to CSN Bay Area, the rookie has already earned a starting job.
Moore is the only draft pick the Raiders are getting much from, as D.J. Hayden, Menelik Watson are hurt, meanwhile Tyler Wilson is getting out played by undrafted free agent Matt McGloin.
The Raiders linebacker coprs appears all set with Moore on the strong side, former Chicago Bear Nick Roach in the middle and Kevin Burnett lined up on the weak side.
