Minnesota Timberwolves star player and power forward Kevin Love has lost some weight. Kevin Love has dropped 7 pounds from 250 down to 243 ahead of the 2013-14 season according to Darren Wolfson of 1500ESPN.com. Wolfson doesn’t say how exactly Love lost the weight but did say that Love was doing yoga daily.
Wolfson also says that Love weighed 243 pounds during his best NBA season, the 2011-12 season. In that season he averaged 26 points and 13.3 rebounds per game.
Post #Twolves presser notes: Kevin Love weighs 243. Down from 250. 243 was his weight his best year. He’s doing yoga daily.

Aside from the wrist problems, Love also suffered knee problems last season. Love only played in 18 games all of last season. Losing weight is one way to go about relieving the stress and pressure on your knees.
Last season love averaged 18.3 points and 14 rebounds in those 18 games however, but this could be a bounce back year for the star player. It’s worth noting that after playing 81 games as a rookie he has struggled to stay on the court. In his second year he played 60 games, followed by 73, then 55 before the 18 last season. Maybe the yoga can help keep him on the court.
