It’s been a rough week for New York Jets running back Joe McKnight.

In addition to being arrested on outstanding warrants and being investigated by the NCAA, McKnight also reportedly collapsed in a scary scene during Jets practice Monday morning.

As if that wasn’t enough, the former USC Trojan threatened to beat up a reporter through Twitter before that incident this morning.

That ‘reporter’ wasn’t a reporter at all, in fact, it was simply a fan – but that didn’t stop the halfback from dropping the “I know who you are” bait, the official tagline of true badasses everywhere.

"Now I’m trying to keep my cool but now it has gone too far with these reporters. Just let y’all know I’m not the one. I know who you are"

Manish Mehta tried to sort it all out for us:

"Joe McKnight mistook an irate fan’s tweet for a reporter. So, it appears he challenged a reporter to a fight (when it was actually a fan)"

I’m just going to chalk it up as a really bad day for McKnight.

Hopefully he’s doing well and recovering from his health scare earlier this morning.
