Last week, Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said that he plans to bring Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III along ‘slowly’ in his recovery from partial tears in his ACL and LCL.

That answer didn’t sit well with RGIII, who recently told Chris Russell that he ‘can’t BS’ that answer and that he doesn’t understand what the Redskins are trying to do:

"Griffin III “I can’t BS that answer. No I don’t like it. I don’t understand the whole plan at all.” on if he agrees with Mike Shanahan plan"

While Griffin most certainly wants to get back on the field, the Redskins aren’t going to mortgage their future to rush the face of their franchise. Most understand that, except Griffin apparently who thinks he’s ready to go.

For what it’s worth, RGIII said that he feels he will be ready for the ‘Skins season opener.

Per Albert Breer:

"Robert Griffin III: “There’s no doubt I’m playing Week 1.”"

Griffin did not play in the Redskins preseason opener against the Tennessee Titans this past weekend.
