According to the New York Post, Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez has been in a walking boot since the surgery on his right foot back in June, but expects to be ready for the start of the regular season.
“I feel great, I have been getting in some weight lifting, getting shots up and everything is going well. I’m not fully working out, I’m not jumping or running or anything like that but we have had a good month and a half just until training camp starts, so we’ll definitely be all right by then.” Lopez told the New York Post
Lopez had a great 2012 season after averaging 19.4 points to lead all NBA centers (even Dwight Howard) and making his first ever All-Team selection.
This season he should be a lot better, having a head coach in the great Jason Kidd and having new veterans in Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Jason Terry and Andrei Kirilenko to help him out. He should be pumped about this season as their team has improved.
Yeah they have a lot of age in that line up and bench, but they could be a #3 or #4 seed in the conference next season with point guard Deron Williams leading the pack.
