Iman Shumpert responds to Kendrick Lamar with a diss track (Audio)

Kendrick Lamar has inspired a wide ranging response to his verse on Big Sean’s “Control,” specifically his “king of New York” claim. The New York Rangers took a shot at Kendrick on Twitter and now a member of the New York Knicks has responded.
Of course it’s none other than Iman Shumpert, who is on First Lady Michelle Obama’s hip hop album. Though former New York Knicks player, but more famous as the coach of the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls, Phil Jackson responded to his reference in Kendrick’s verse.
Many rappers responded to Lamar’s claim to be the king of New York and calling out a generation of rappers on Twitter. Lupe Fiasco took a more humorous approach and ghost wrote responses for rappers. Atlanta rapper B.o.B. mimicked Kendrick in his response. Bad Boy recording artist King Los has also responded. Lupe Fiasco recorded a response called “SLR 2.” Meek Mill addressed the verse in an interview with the CBS Philadelphia station.
Joell Ortiz of Slaughterhouse and Brooklyn responded to Kendrick Lamar and defended his city. The Bronx’s Fred the Godson responded as well.
