For the first time since the NBA Finals, Dwayne Wade plans to do his first basketball related activities this weekend according to ESPN.com.
After the Miami Heat won their second consecutive NBA title, Wade rested his knees. A month ago he underwent OssaTron shock treat, now he begins the process of getting ready for the upcoming season in hopes of a three peat.
“I won’t be ready for opening night when training camp starts. But I’ll be ready for opening night when opening night gets here.” Wade told ESPN.com
Wade missed one game during the playoffs due to bone bruises in his knee and was limited to 15.9 points in the postseason which was a career low for him. He sat out nine of Miami’s final 14 games last season and weight of the final 16 during the 2011-2012 season.
The Miami Heat will host the Chicago Bulls on October 29th to open up the regular season for the league. Miami Heat training camp is set to open October 1st.
