Cameron used his 6-foot-5, 245-pound frame effectively, reaching high for a pair of Weeden passes, including one in traffic for his first TD. He ended the night having caught two red-zone touchdowns from Weeden, and both players look very comfortable playing under new offensive coordinator Norv Turner, who has long been one of the NFL’s most innovative minds.

Head coach Rob Chudzinski has had success mentoring TEs such as Antonio Gates, Kellen Winslow Jr. and Greg Olsen, so he knows how to make a TE a focal point in his offense. The Browns have been using Cameron in the slot this preseason, much like the New England Patriots used Aaron Hernandez to create mismatches. Cameron could emerge as another who improves under Chudzinski and Turner and keep improving entering his third season.

Ryan Fowler of Fox Sports also pegged Cameron as one of his top breakout fantasy players in the AFC North.

It’s also worth pointing out that the Browns’ top receiver, Josh Gordan, will miss the first two games of the regular season, so Weeden and the coaches may look to establish Cameron as one of the primary targets early and often this year.
