Oklahoma City Thunder are the best team in the NBA, so says Houston Rockets GM

Keep you friends close and your enemies closer? Is that what Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey is going for? Or is he simply being truthful?

Taking part in one of his seemingly annual Q&A sessions on Reddit recently, Rockets head honcho Daryl Morey, when asked who the best team in the NBA was gave a simple though straight answer – the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Q: Which team in the West do you think will be the biggest threat to your Rockets?

A: I think Oklahoma City is the best team when healthy

While most probably would have assumed Morey (or any GM with a talented team) would have suggested his own team (or the World Champion Miami Heat), the social media loving general manager opted to give a more candid answer, suggesting a fellow conference foe as the best team in the league.

Notably, Morey didn’t just say OKC was the best in the West, so the talented GM clearly thinks a healthy Thunder, complete with Russell Westbrook would have fared much better in the 2012-13 postseason if they were at full strength.
