Michal Handzus isn't really the player the Blackhawks want playing second-line next season

Despite having a strong performance in the playoffs for the Stanley Cup winning Chicago Blackhawks, Michal Handzus may not be playing second-line center next season.

It can’t be Dave Bolland who was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs either.

“Saader is probably the guy we’re thinking maybe grabs that spot, would be an option. It’s something we talked about as a staff late in the year. Its something going into the season we could be exploring. Defensively, I think we can get him up to speed. At the end of the day, I mean I don’t really care who’s going to grab it, but it’s a nice spot for somebody.” Blackhawks head coach Joel Queeneville said in an interview with prohockeytalk.com

The 20 year old is coming off an outstanding rookie season but that when he was playing on the wing. At center, there could be additional responsibilities, mainly in the defensive end.
