In what can only be described as one of the most catastrophic injuries in recent memory, Miami Dolphins tight end Dustin Keller has reportedly torn his ACL, MCL and PCL. In addition, he has also dislocated his right knee.
Keller suffered the devastating injury in last night’s game against the Houston Texans when rookie safety D.J. Swearinger delivered a crushing blow to the Indiana native.
Keller’s knee bent back awkwardly, resulting in Keller being carted off the field.
Members of the media were briefed by the Dolphins after the game and were told things ‘didn’t look good’ though I’m not sure many would have envisioned something this terrible.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
Dolphins TE Dustin Keller tore his ACL, MCL, PCL and, as if that weren’t enough, dislocated his knee, per source.
In addition, it’s also being reported that the Dolphins fear Keller suffered potential nerve damage in his knee.
This has gone from a season ending injury to a potential career ending injury.
Just an awful situation for the 28-year-old Keller.
