The New England Patriots most productive over the past 6 seasons has been Wes Welker. Unfortunately, Welker and the Patriots couldn’t agree to terms this offseason and he left to sign with the Denver Broncos. The Patriots responded by signing Danny Amendola to a day to day contract.
While Danny Amendola possess a similar skill set to Welker and has all the potential in the world he has struggled with injuries over the years. Amendola has started only 9 games over the past two seasons and appeared in 12 games.
Amendola has missed practice for two consecutive days and the injury hasn’t been disclosed. There isn’t much information available aside from that other than Bill Belichick saying he was “day to day.”
Bill Belichick on Danny Amendola: “Day to day.” Amendola wasn’t at practice Monday.

The injury hasn’t been disclosed and is still a question mark.
From ESPN Boston:
A source indicated to ESPNBoston.com that the absence isn’t cause for major concern. More specifically, Amendola is dealing with a minor injury issue that is not head-related. The nature of the injury beyond that is unknown.
That probably means that given his history the Patriots are just being extra cautious with Amendola.
