The New York Giants lost center David Baas to a sprained ACL on Sunday night. Baas is expected to be out 2-4 weeks and the Giants are having to get creative to fill the hole on their offensive line.

They’re going to shift the line down. David Diehl will move inside to the offensive guard position and bring in rookie Justin Pugh at the now vacant right tackle position.

At the earliest the line would be back to normal around the season opener. On the other hand it could be the first couple of the weeks season before he is back in action.

The Giants play the New York Jets this Saturday in a preseason game. This will offer fans and personnel the first look at how Pugh does in his new role stepping in.
