Ohio State's Urban Meyer sends recruit Mike Gesicki a puzzle; Suggests he is missing piece

Every day, it seems as if recruiting tactics used by college coaches get more and more creative.

Take the University of Alabama’s Nick Sabean, who recently sent out a piece of paper that was straight to the point. It featured every player drafted this past season that attended Alabama and all of their NFL paychecks. Want to get paid? Come play for the Crimson Tide.

Ohio State’s head coach Urban Meyer has come up with his own creative recruiting pitch, though, he might want to work on its efficiency.

Hoping to lure Mike Gesicki, a new New Jersey native who is ranked as one of the better prep wide receivers in the country, the Ohio State coach sent Gesicki a completed puzzle depicting the wide receivers image, except that it had a missing piece. The missing piece of course, was Gesicki.

Certainly creative but Meyer might want to call up a few co-ed’s for Gesicki when he visits campus because I don’t think a puzzle is going to get it done.

Or maybe Gesicki is a closet puzzle freak and I’m all wet.
