It looks as if we have another Jay Z war on our hands, this time though it doesn’t involved Nas or 50 Cent, rather, power agent Scott Boras.
Both Hov and Boras have been going back and forth in recent months, Boras clearly threatened by Jay’s ability to snag star talent like that of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant.
Still, Boras says he doesn’t worry about the rapper, who ripped him in a song on his most recent album Magna Carta Holy Grail, threatening to take one of Boras’ top clients:
“Scott Boras, you over baby,” wrote Jay Z in a song off his new album. “Robinson Cano, you coming with me.”
Boras fired back though, suggesting that nobody takes the mogul seriously as an agent:
“I don’t worry about others, because you know what, in the end, as always, there are few survivors in (the agency) game,” Boras said. “This game is something that when you come, and you look, and you don’t see—when you don’t see, you’re not here long.
“When your agent wears a Yankee hat,” he said, “how seriously are they going to take you?”
