One of the greatest parts about sports is the fact that you can go to the stadium and enjoy the action with your family. Unfortunately for one father and son duo, an innocent mistake led the two being escorted from the stadium.

John Coulter was at the Arizona Cardinals vs. Dallas Cowboys game with his 15-year-old son. It was a nice afternoon and Coulter wanted to snap some photos in order to remember the moment, but it took a turn for the worst when Coulter asked his son to hold his beer while he took the pictures.

Minutes later, undercover officers with the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control came up to Coulter to let him know serving alcohol to minors was a crime and he could be arrested.

Luckily, the innocent mistake did not lead to his arrest, but Coulter and his son were escorted from the stadium.

“I thought it was a candid camera joke, I really did,” Coulter said, via USATODAY.com. “We just watched the opening kickoff and I wanted to take a quick picture. I literally handed my son my cup and said hold my cup, I reached into my pocket, grabbed my cell phone, put it on camera mode and took a picture.

“I normally would support the police if I heard a story like this. However, in this case, I was standing right there and witnessed abuse and overzealous pursuing of this situation. It was totally uncalled for.”

Something tells me that the next time Coulter is at a game he will simply set his beer on the floor to take a picture or else simply hand his camera to his son.
