Confidence is a fickle thing, something that Oakland Raiders quarterback Matt Flynn has apparently lost – at least according to insider Vic Tafur.

Flynn, who’s been nothing short of awful during the Raiders’ first three preseason games had already caught the wrath of the coaching staff for his inability to throw down field and now his questionable decision making (which isn’t helped by his lack of arm strength or the turnstile offensive line) has not only broken the coaching staff’s trust in him, but his own confidence.

Per Tafur on Twitter:

"Besides Flynn’s lack of arm strength, he’s also had lack of vision in preseason. & whether its Seattle history or OL, confidence looks shot"

It was going to be a long season in Oakland even if Flynn looked like a respectable NFL quarterback, which he hasn’t so far.

An already flawed quarterback, the current issues the Raiders are going through with injuries and putting together a poor roster have only put Flynn’s issues in the forefront and it may not be long until the Raiders make a change.
