Watch Arizona Wildcats coach Rich Rodriguez do the robot (video)

The Arizona Wildcats sure seem like a fun team, don’t they? The opened the summer by dressing up in cowboy attire for this video, and now a clip of the team engaged in an end-of-camp dance-off has emerged.

The video features some slick moves by various Arizona players, but the highlight is undoubtedly head coach Rich Rodriguez’s attempt at doing the robot (at roughly the three minute mark). The weird thing is…it’s not half bad. Sure, he retreats back to the edge of the circle after about ten seconds of dancing, but those ten seconds are sure glorious.

In my dream world, this video would be the catalyst towards convincing all the Pac-12 coaches to participate in a dance-off. I would love to see what Washington State Cougars coach Mike Leach would bring to the table. You just know that between his abrasive exterior is a joyful little boy who just wants to express himself through dance. At the very least maybe we could have a robot-off between Rodriguez and Alabama coach Nick Saban (who may actually bleed motor oil, though, so perhaps that would be an unfair contest).
