Cleveland Cavaliers have no interest in trading for Jimmer Fredette

The Sacramento Kings have continued to receive trade offers from teams around the league for point guard Jimmer Fredette and the Cleveland Cavaliers were rumored to be one of the interested teams.

However, as it turns out, the Cavaliers already have one of the best point guard situations and guard rotations in the league and they were not willing to give up enough assets to the Kings in exchange for Fredette’s shooting ability.

From Terry Pluto of the Cleveland Plain Dealer:

A few weeks ago, there was a rumor about Jimmer Fredette. I heard it again recently. But the Cavs haven’t even talked to Sacramento (Fredette’s team) in more than a month. The Cavs like their guard rotation of Kyrie Irving,Dion Waiters, Jarrett Jack, and C.J. Miles.

With all of the Jimmer Fredette trade talks that have been going on since the start of the season, all signs point to the former BYU star remaining on the trade block.

If he were to be moved by the start of the season, it would be anything but a surprise.
