Dallas Mavericks, Dirk Nowitzki mock Geico ‘Hump Day’ commercial (Video)

I’m going to take a stab in the dark and assume that you’ve seen that one time funny, though repeatedly annoying Geico insurance commercial featuring a camel, right? You know, the one who walks (hoofs?) around an office setting, asking everybody what day it is until somebody informs him it’s “hump day”.

Hoping to capitalize off the uh, success (not really) of the popular commercial, the Dallas Mavericks along with star power forward Dirk Nowitzki deiced to make their own version, hoping to increase ticket sales for the season.
The spot is pretty bad in all honesty but Dirk’s absurd, over the top yelling with his German accent is pretty enjoyable – at least for a watch.

And in fairness to Dirk, I’ll give him this – the Mavericks continually put him in the most odd and weird marketing situations, yet, he always comes through. It’s more than a lot of NBA stars would do for their club.
