You remember that terrifying movie The Ring, right? The 2002 film was an adaptation from Ringu, an incredibly popular film in Japan where the movie originated and scared countless children for the rest of their lives.
I’m still trying to shake nightmares from that film even though it’s a decade later.
Thankfully though it’s just a movie. I mean, it’s not like I’m going to be watching some random baseball game nearly a decade later only to have a real live version of the horrific main character appear to throw out the first pitch at a baseball game or anything.
Wait. Ah crap.
That happened? You bet your girly screams it happened.
During a game between the Chunichi Dragons and Hanshin Tigers, Sadako along with some of her trusted creepy aids appeared on the field – hair completely covering their faces to toss out the first pitch. The group walked onto the field looking as dead as ever, never breaking stride before stepping on the mound.
Potentially most terrifying about the whole thing was that Sadako, again hair completely covering her face, threw a freaking seed to the catcher, Nolan Ryan style……before randomly passing out after walking off the pitching mound.
Guess I won’t be sleeping tonight.
Or this week.
