And in today’s news regarding the starting quarterback for the USC Trojans…Lane Kiffin is still undecided! Stop the presses! Or, you know, don’t stop the presses. It’s hard to decide! Maybe keep alternating between the stopped and started presses until everyone goes mad? That could work, right?
As you’re well aware, Kiffin has yet to name a winner in the quarterback competition between Max Wittek and Cody Kessler. One person not stressed about Kiffin’s lack of decisiveness, though, is former USC quarterback and current USC AD Pat Haden.
Haden spoke about the situation to ESPNLosAngeles:
I don’t think this is going to be a thing for the season. This is going to be decided here perhaps the first week, maybe the second week.
I’ve never played the situation like that myself but Lane’s our coach and Lane’s my coach and if that’s what he thinks is best for the USC football team, I’m all for it.
At this point in the process, I think it might be better for Kiffin to start running the A-11 offense so both Kessler and Wittek can be on the field at the same time. Yay for compromises. Now who wants ice cream?
