Barcelona is hosting Atlético Madrid in Spain’s Supercopa. The two sides left Madrid last week with a 1-1 draw leaving this technically a wide open contest. With the two sides finishing up this home and away series in Barcelona, you’d have to think that Lionel Messi and crew will get it done.

Last week when the two sides draw we saw Barcelona’s big summer signing, Brazilian National Neymar, score his first goal for Barcelona. It was a routine header of an amazing cross across the box from a teammate.
Last week Lionel Messi was substituted at half-time, Neymar came off the bench before helping his side even things up. Messi was tending to a thigh injury that also caused him to not play in this past weekend’s match against Malaga.
“[Messi] is good and has trained normally,” Barcelona manager Gerardo Martino said. “He did his work with the group, and was worked harder, with those who did not play at Malaga.”
Neymar has been coming off the bench but everyone is clamoring to see him play. Martino isn’t budging and asking for patience.
“I am looking forward to seeing him play together with Messi, but I also have an obligation to take care of all my players,” he said. “And when it comes to Neymar, who is young, even more so. This is something the media like to focus on. But I want him to be a Barca player for ten to 12 years, not for him to fix my problems in one match. I just want things to go well for him and the way we are doing things is correct. We coaches do what we think is best.”
