Fantasy Football owners who have Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White on their rosters, you can now breathe a sigh of relief. The radio report that White had suffered a high ankle sprain are false.

From Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

"Smith said that a radio report stating that wide receiver Roddy White suffered a more serious injury (high ankle) sprain was not accurate. He contended that White will be available for the season opener."

The down side to this report is that there was an injury. A high ankle sprain is a serious injury, but the head coach Mike Smith clarified that it was not that injury. That means there is still an ankle sprain to some degree most likely.

General manager Thomas Dimitroff has also denied the rumors. The injury when it occurred didn’t seem to serious. He didn’t appear to tell over his ankle severely at the time. It is also worth noting that White has never missed a game in his 8 season career.

With that said Roddy White is still available to play in the Falcons’ season opener.
