Today UEFA will draw from 4 pots to determine the the groups to kick off the Champions League tournament. Each group of 4 will play each other home and away with the top 2 teams from each group advancing. The teams that finish in third place will join the Europa League tournament. No team from any league can meet a team from the same league in the group stage.

Here is how UEFA explains it.

From UEFA.com:

"Ten play-off winners join the 22 automatic entrants in the group stage draw at the Grimaldi Forum, Monaco, where the 32 sides are split into four seeding pots and one from each is drawn into the eight groups. Seeds are based on UEFA’s coefficient system and no team can meet another from the same association."
